Ingredients
-
200g graham crust
- 100g unsalted butter, melted
- 397g can of sweetened condensed milk
- 3 ripe bananas
-
300ml heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Grated chocolate, for garnish
-
Cinnamon Sugar, for garnish
Directions
- Crush the digestive biscuits in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
- Press the biscuit mixture into the base of a 9-inch pie dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the caramel by placing the unopened can of sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan filled with water. Bring the water to a gentle simmer and cook for 2 hours. Make sure the can is fully submerged in water throughout the cooking process. Remove the can from the water and let it cool completely before opening.
- Spread the caramel evenly over the biscuit base.
- Slice the bananas and arrange them on top of the caramel.
- In a separate bowl, whip the double cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the bananas, covering the entire surface of the pie.
- Garnish with grated chocolate.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Dash Cinnamon Sugar evenly over pie before serving. Enjoy!
